  Having been quoted over £1000 (no guarantee) by my usual garage in to get my car through it's MOT,due to omissions failure. I decided to get a second opinion from the team at Thwaites and found them far more knowledgeable, professional, and courteous, not only did they resolve the issues, the bill was only £400 Inc vat. Good honest garages are hard to find, I can't recommend them enough.

  Very expensive compared to others, and don't like taking responsibility if they don't fix the problem. They charge half hour's labour (£42!) to diagnose the problem where other garages do it for free. They told me they had fixed a problem with my wheel axle (and charged me £600 for the privelige!) and when I left the forecourt I could tell it wasn't fixed. They told me it just needed time to bed in. I brought it back a few days later as the problem was still there, and they charged me another £160 to fix it! They also told me they fixed an issue with an engine light coming on, and guess what , 2 months later, its back on. You can find cheaper, more reliable garages, which in hindsight I wish I had done!
